DaveN: Just wanted to let you know that I posted a link to your post with the two pics above on the official In-N-Out Burger Facebook page (With the ulterior motive to get people excited about model railroads, heheh)...it got a lot of "Likes" and positive comments today!

If Trainboard gave out awards for modeling and had a "Scratchbuilt Structure Of The Year" category, I'd TOTALLY nominate your In-N-Out!

Naw, I'd have to nominate the grain elevator in the background as structure of the year - unless that qualifies as last year's work. ;)

Another eye-catching scene in a town that is rapidly becoming a showcase. By the way Dave, how did you make the umbrellas?

    -Gary

P.S. That sign is especially eye-catching: you can see it clear from Tehachapi. :)

I had my first In-N-Out double somewhere east of Vegas last Sunday. Very Good.

The magnificent model sure deserves it foreground location. Plus a perfect location for train watching for the patrons.

I can see everyone going out for burgers tonight to celebrate! I know I am.

    Thanks everyone.

Heh heh - very cool. The only In-n-Out east of the Mississippi :)

    Gary -
The mill still isn't done yet :(! I still need to paint it, it's still in primer. Next on my list....I've been waiting for an good day weatherwise where I have enough time to knock it all out.

The umbrellas are Preiser, they came in a pack with a bunch of chairs, park benches, and tables, some neat stuff.

If you're not busy, could you just build my layout?

Amazing work. The interior detail is just jaw-dropping. Much better than Cats, I would see it again and again...

I would love to see the finished product.. I also have a question for you, Dave. Would you consider building one for an HO scale? For purchase of course.

You flatter me :). Unfortunately, I have so many projects in the hopper on my own layout that I'm not in a position to be able to do outside work.

Dave, I'm sure you are tired of the compliments, but damn is your In-n-Out build beyond amazing. I have been working on one myself when I came upon the images of yours. One question, if you don't mind, how did you create the 3-d signage? I was planning on printing out logos from the internet and making decals.
