Got my sd70 yesterday! I guess i will get the decoder for it within the next week, can't wait!

Now i understand that Robert does not make decals any more? So my question is: Who can make me some MRL ace decals?

Detail-less SD70ACe Handrails

I have had several requests from those of you who have gotten the SD70ACe shell kits for the first run handrails that were etched backwards making the sides flat and the etched details not showing.

Fellow Z enthusiast, Extraordinaire, Jeffrey White, has taken the time to go to my home in Georgia, rummage thru the vast 2car garage of Z stuff, find and mail to me several sets of the reversed handrails. I currently have 9 sets with me here in Arizona.

For those of you who asked for sets to use when modifying the shell to a SD70M2 or other, please contact me now.

I am writing to inform all those who sent me an email, a private message here on TB, or made their request known here in this thread, that I have packaged all requests and have shipped them today.

Please note that they will arrive in a legal size envelope wrapped in 3 layers of cardstock to help keep their form. I hope the USPS doesn't screw any of them up in their 100mph sorting machines. I did place "Do Not Bend" on each of them except yours Gerd!!! We'll see what transpires. Please let me know when you receive them as to their condition on arrival. Please also understand I am providing these free of charge including shipping. They were either going to a scrap yard or a better use. I think you guyZ will put them to a better use. Again, this batch is free!

I am currently out of these scrap handrails till I return to Texas where the bulk of them are. Let me know if you want more, but please don't over tax my generosity!

Now, what I request from all of you is to hopefully see postings with photos of your scratchbuilding abilities changing your SD70ACe's into these SD70M2's everyone is crazing over right now!!! I think this is a fair trade. You get free handrails and I get to see your resulting models!! I wanna see them!!!!

All that is needed is black on clear decal paper I think.

I have my decal paper with me right now and a laser printer. I need to see if it could work!!!! I myself am almost 2000 miles from my ALPS printer, or I would make a few BNSF sets. Ugh!!!!
