Really nice! And, a really nice detail. Did you work from a picture? I was just going to use old 55 gallon drum halves, but now I had best try a little harder. That is a very nice scratchbuild. Welcome to TrainBoard, too.
There is some really cool stuff posted here! Some of you here may have already seen these but for those who have not, These are pics of N scale Red Roof Inns that I scratchbuilt from Evergreen and Plastruct products. The first is the modern version of the motel and the second is the earlier version. I will be gearing up again shortly to make more of these.
Work in progress  Just thought I'd post this photo of a plug-in diorama that I'm busy building. It measures 48" long x 14" high x 9" wide. The footprint for the diorama is 72" long x 20" wide.It will have a spur capacity of 24 x 54' covered hoppers. As can be seen, there's still a long way to go before it's complete.
Some great structures here. Here's the one I finished this evening. SP common standard tool house. I built the master from evergreen styrene and made molds:teeth: This is a finished sample of the castings. The images are just a little out of focus.
Scratchbuilt on the P&PU in N-Scale The conveyor is a square plastic tube with 2 HO ladders glued in a V on the bottom with wooden pieces at the lower end and plastic pieces at the top. The silo has girder supports cut from a scrap Atlas Truss Bridge and inverted, handrails made of HO ladders glued to 4 sides, and a medicine bottle trimmed and painted as the tower. The chain link fence is a strip of wedding veil mesh glued to wire posts. The soda machine was scratchbuilt by David Thurman of Peoria IL based on a Trainboard.com thread started by Tim McC. The shed is from a GreenMax factory kit.
DLW Station Scratch built representation of DLW Station in Binghamton, NY. Roof was difficult to get right due to odd angles. Still needs dormer windows cut in on the main roof and on the roof of the baggage terminal. And I need to complete the canopy roof with trackside extensions for passenger waiting. Sorry the pictures aren't that good. I'll soon be replacing this old Kodak DC215 with a Nikon cool pix L6. Course it won't help if the photographer is the problem...
I decided to bring back an old thread... Interlocking tower Freight Station Speeder shed Lumber yard Bar Modern warehouse, no longer in use
Well, I have done some new buildings in those 12 (!) years...... New England: Rock Island territory: Japan:
