This is an interesting CSX news site. I'm not sure how often they update it as it seems that some of the same news stays there for a while. But nonetheless, a good site. http://communities.prodigy.net/trains/ccsxnews.htm
HARRY, THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT I HAVE LEARNED IN TRAINBOARD, MOST IMPORTANTLY RIGHT HERE, IS THE DEFINITION OF CSX. I NEVER KNEW WHAT IT MEANT. THIS IS THE FIRST PLACE I HAVE SEEN THAT IN PRINT. GUESS I NEVER THOUGHT TO ASK THE RAILROAD PEOPLE I'VE COME ACROSS. AND PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME WHAT IT MEANT AND I DIDN'T KNOW........
Alan, you should have seen my expression when I first saw CSX "invading" the North East! A few years back I was in Bergenfield, NJ and saw two CSX engines pulling a freight through town. I thought, "Oh my! A foriegn railroad has invaded us! There goes Conrail!" It seemed to me that the merger wasn't even completed yet.......could this have been possible? A "test run", maybe?
