Ok, after a lot of cleaning caches, deleting cookies, eating cookies, drinking coffee I have everything working on my phone and desk top with all browsers. Whew, thanks for all the work to get things back in order.
My preference is Keebler Cashew Sandies. I'm a sucker for Shortbread ever since my cousin let me, 5 at the time, sample a recipe he had just created. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven...totally meaningless expression not knowing anything about either condition at that time.
Whatever it was it must have infected my brain, because I answered Bremner and reported that there was no problem today using Chrome. Evidently I did not POST the message. Duuuuuuh.
Nope. As at 1250 GMT same as before. Due to a month of persistent failed auto- log-on it never happened when anonymous. Only when logged on site. Per pic the 'loading' can be seen on two tabs (note absent the TB pictograph). I have trashed previously caches/ login cookies etc. Today I swept all out and couldn't reload until now (an hour later). Any action I took told me I had to accept cookies which as it happens, I wasn't rejecting or blocking. regds, dw --Edit* Spellink**
