I know! I could get the new track here, but the switches were cheaper to order from England than the US! And then it was $20 for a switch and $5-7 a stick for flex! That pretty much decided the issue for me.
Latest bit of HOn30 is my turnout checking board. I figured it would help if I made sure the turnouts worked before I installed them on the layout. At least now I'll be able to get them close to 99% before install. I'm using slide switches to throw them and route power to the frogs (thanks to the guys at The Railwire N scale group for the idea). I think I'll install BluPoints for the ones that may be tough to reach.

Same here.. Then it dawned on me that I should. Hand layed Code 70 from Fast Tracks jig. Part of the reason for the testing.. Just making sure.
I've in my past looked at plumbing supplies as storage tanks and such. My next trip to the big box home store, their copper tubing in lengths will seem like a fleet of HOn30 tank cars. Boxcab E50
