Colin, you have a good level of detail and weathering. The scenery is believable. Do you have a trackplan?? Happy toooot Wolfgang
Absolutely!!! The layout looks better the more I see of it. I will also visit the trackside cafe for a few coffees :
Here are a few shots of a wayfreight pulled by a pair of SW1200RS road switchers. These are repowered Athearn units riding on Flexicoil road trucks. These engines were modified using the Juneco SW1200RS conversion kits (except for the trucks as mentioned above). This shot shows the tail end. It's a bit fuzzy because I tried to get the focus nearer the middle of the train. This sacrificed the sharpness of the caboose. Note how the caboose trucks have leaf springs, as they should!
Time for some new scenes. Here are a couple of shots of an F7 (Intermountain on Stewart chassis)/GP9 (P2K with Athearn flexicoil trucks) lashup: This is a woodchip car that I kitbashed: Enjoy!
Thats an incredible looking layout ! Those CN units also looks great ! Keep up the good work ! Train Fan
This has to be one of the best looking layouts I have seen in a long while. I love those SW1200RS with the spark arrestors, also the GP9. The F7 with the early version of the stripes also looks great - but my favourites just have to be the Alco/MLW units. Wonderful work - and please keep posting pictures for us to drool over.
Yes, chooch5, I use Dynatrol DCC from what used to be Power Systems Inc (PSI), but is now known as Lahti Associates or Lahti Designs. http://www.tttrains.com/psidynatrol/ This system is also used by several well-known model railroaders and clubs.
