BNSF just bad ordered all of the Swift Bogies/Couplermates. They do not meet "BNSF Standards". So all Swifts are departing/arriving at Hobart. They are being sent out on flat/spine cars. Swift is all pissed off at BNSF. Over heard some Swift guys saying that they should have stayed with UP! It takes BNSF twice as long as UP to load and unload the trains! We see how long BNSF can keep the contract.

It will be interesting to see how that develops!

It appears to be true, as reports are surfacing that the Swift service is now being handled on five unit spine cars. It seems very interesting that SP/UP operated these trains for over 5 years with no reported major problems, and BNSF has teething pains during their first few weeks. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved by BNSF and they will begin to operate this new service to the satisfaction of their customer. Otherwise, maybe we will see UP back in control of this contract.
