I've never had an Acer computer, but have owned their hardware. DVD burner, LCD screen and such. Junk. Cheap junk, which quickly failed.
All this ACER talk had me worried. It thought that was what my wife bought for her new computer. Turns out hers is an ASUS, a totally different animal.
Due to the fact that since I installed IE10, I've had nothing but problems. I uninstalled it & it went back to IE9. I checked here & was able to use to it as intended. problem solved!
Mike, I'll let you know if anything changes after the next MS IE10 update, but I'm not holding my breath....
Not holding our breath is a good idea, when it comes to MicroSoft (pronounced "MediocreStuff"). Most of us start looking a bit nasty, when turning various shades of blue.
Hytec, Again, short story, to late. I failed to spot or identify the problem. Now that's the short story. Here's a reader's digest condensed version. I wasn't quick enough on the draw to see the problem when the lap top first arrived here. I've done everything I can to persuade them to correct the problem...but...90 day warranties have a way of wearing out or running out. When I finally realized the crack in the screen was effecting my fun. The crack took off like a crack in a winshield. I was hoping out of the kindness of their...well...that wasn't to be. So, I'ma stuck with what's left and what works. Using a older screen from a previous PC and it's about to crap out. Thanks though for the advocacy on your part and good advice. The company I bought it from wouldn't stand behind it either (and they want to get paid)...hint: fingerhouse. Just a word to the wise. Know I messed up on the wise part.
