To all you guys out there,
Here I thought I might be the only one who felt the wayI do about officials. We had a TM riding with us one trip and I was asked if I knew the Superintendent at a major terminal. I said no and I don't care to. I told him I didn't have time for officials. He said, I'm an official. I said, you're included.

A level 5 is termanation, dismissed from service. Once you reach a level 5, you're washed out from the business for good. Of course the levels go from 1 to 4. I've got a level 1 for almost cutting my finger off on the cab door of a locomotive. It goes off my record at the end of may.If you get hurt at the railroad in any way, unless it's proven it's not you're falt, it's an automatic level 1. They threaten you that their going to give you a level 5 and dismiss you from service and things like that, but in the end they drop it down to a level 1 or 2 for the first injury. Getting hurt at the railroad nowdays is the worst thing you can do.
