Just a random post about Conrail. I found an old strip of negatives from 2000. I was in my Freshman year of college and was taking a photogrpahy course. I went with one of my friends out to Point of Rocks Station, MD, to shoot some photos. One of the engines that passed by was a Conrail SD60. Thinking about this for a little while, I have determined that it was the last (ex)Conrail painted engine I would ever see. I have no recollection of any after that engine. And I am fairly certain there were no oppurtunities the next 8 years, as I left for college out at Oklahoma State. My next 8 years were dominated by BNSF and UP. I still have not had a chance to develop the photos. When I get a chance, I will post the pics.
Last CR I ever saw was 5424 in Fostoria, Ohio. That girl is hanging on, but she'll wind up in Juniata within a few months at most. It'll be sad to see her go.
