I worked over the post maybe you see the images now.
Anyway a couple more images of some truck and frame details. I added PSC 39079 fuel fillers and a retention tank to the E/S rear of fuel tank. These retention tanks hold the oils and other fluids that leak into the sump that used to leak out on to the ties.
This image is of the rear truck modified to run backwards, opening up the see thru screen section.

Thanks guys for the comments, I been in a kind of modeling funk lately. I have more cars and locos than I could ever use. I need to get back out to the MRR barn and do some work out there. I have all the stuff I need to put in a lighted crossing in, been needing to get that done for years. It will require some surgery to the layout fascia in a couple spots. So not too crazy about that, but it needs done. Maybe I get out there and take a look this weekend.

My latest SD40T-2 for the QA&P, this makes 4 tunnel units for the "Q" so far. The recently acquired ex-Conrail SD45-2 has suffered a prime mover failure, and is up for disposition. I got a bit of weathering done and the QA&P 747 now enters service, we don't need to techno-toasters here.
    Just good old EMD power.

Very nice Tom. It would be great to see them all in action going over the Q sometime!

Sweet build Tom! I take some crap from some pals about running Athearn locomotives. If they could see what magic you do to one they would hold their tongue and tuck tail.

Looks like Tom found Jimmi Durante lol.

Always a good sight to see a schnoz like that.

Might just have to loan the QA&P a pair of home road SD40-2's

OK I am sorry I havent been keeping up with all the good efforts you folks have been up to around here lately, I have looked when I can, your all doing some great work!
The QA&P picked up the lease on EMDX 5, a GP60 demonstrator. The GP60 series were very good locomotives a few RR's just ran the wheels of these things 500 mile days were not uncommon, and these units did it for months at a time without a single failure. I had 4 of them on a unit auto rack train some 60+ cars and boy did we zip home that night. Just the thing these locomotives were made for. A few of the images on the web showed the brake cylinders all had been changed on this unit, so I paints them in primer, per the images. There were 3 of these particular demonstrators, with the early 60 series dynamic brake blisters and those angle nose and cabs (all were 3D printed and designs of our Ryan Harris). Hardest part was getting the glued on Dyn/Cab/Nose off the P2K shell. I added a few details like air dryers/ filters, some piping and fuel tank details. The beacon/ air conditioner and horn were added as well as what I think was EMD's design of a antenna atop the cab on the engineers side. These Demo units had like 4 different types of fuel fillers. I tried to match the paint as best I could, got close enough and the weathering took care of the rest. I tried to keep the weathering down a bit as EMD tended to keep these things looking fairly good. I didnt want it looking like it was headed to scrap LOL.
Anyway a few pics of it here on the ready tracks with a couple "Q" mates waiting on a TOFC shooter, I will try to get some action pictures soon.

An insanely beautiful locomotive. The details on the underbody and around the fuel tank are crisp too. The red Gyralite (Mars light?) on the nose is interesting. Were these supposed to go to the SP?

That was the plan, but the SP did not take the demos. All SP/SSW GP60's can without the light show
