      It is full of bugs!

It has bogged down every so often so I have felt compelled to reinstall it. The Patcher is a long-drawn process that also sometimes fails after install.

      The bad:

      1. Having too many SD40 series locomotives coupled together at once makes the engines sound muddy in 3D audio. It is a game audio quality issue. Sometimes the horns don't sound

      2. My favorite route is the Mojave Subdivision. I found out this route can be edited or customized using the Surveyor mode. What I really wanted to do was stock my route with custom rolling stock only and not modify anything else. There is plenty of rolling stock to choose from a roster. The trouble I had was that the crossing gates, bells and flashing lights did not work in this route that I edited with custom trains. The locomotive would drive right through a grade crossing without triggering it. Cars drove right through the engine too as if they were ghosts!

The crossing gates worked fine in the unedited Mojave Sub with the rolling stock the software provided by default in various factory-installed scenarios/sessions.

      3. Game animation freezes sometimes at random and trains appear to move jittery in the Lineside camera views. They have not yet got the animation perfected. I have a mid-range graphics card in my PC.

Auran is very complicated in the Surveyor mode to navigate through. You gave to customize all these Driver commands. Instant Load and Instant Unload is not available by default in Surveyor-edited routes/sessions and the Custom HUD also has to be manually enabled so I know what grade percentages I am dealing with while running my trains. I will not even begin to mess with laying my own custom railroad in Surveyor due to its trickiness. Adding rolling stock to a factory-installed Route is daunting enough for me.

In addition to failed crossing gates, my speed indicator was not working sometimes in my HUD so I did not know how fast my trains were gong. So, I am now trying to reinstall the whole damn thing from scratch and see if this can get fixed.

PC/gaming train simulation has much room for advancement. The software user should not need rocket science degree to use it also.

I bought it and couldn't even use it. You need a cream of the crop gaming computer it seems and the bugs!!! MTS I thought was awesome. No issues.
