As we were walking the dogs this evening, as we often do, we followed a part of a trail through town that was once the right of way for the Stark County (Ohio) Electric Railway. Even though that railroad folded in the early 1930's a few pieces, such as phone and signal poles (both wood and concrete) remain to remind passers-by of the trail's original purpose. Tonight I snapped this picture as a reminder that the real world isn't perfect and the worlds we construct need not be perfect either. I love finding things like you came upon Pastor John. Artifacts like this seemed more plentiful decades ago, but they're still out there.
