I know we all have our want and wish lists, but I was wondering if anyone else had these items in mind. These would probably be easiest made using the 3D printer method, but I know I have no skill in creating the information needed to create such items.

Stacks of auto frames to mount on 89' flatcars
Gravity outlets to retrofit Atlas (or other manf) Center Flow covered hoppers
Trough (roof) doors to retrofit Atlas (or other manf) Center Flow covered hoppers

    Thoughts?

I like those ideas and agree 3D printing would be the way to go.

Also, perhaps someone could make a "windows" kit for the Atlas cupola caboose.

As this was done in earlier times, pre-89 footers, also loads of same type, for prior decades....

I've seen auto frames for flat cars on shapeways before.

The best way to get these designed for 3D printing is to find a designer and commission them to do the work. The designer doesn't make much per item (especially is the price is kept down) and this is a way to compensate them for their work. There are auto frames on Shapeways BTW. Both stacked and inclined for gondolas.

    Best wishes, Dave

Different doodlebug and interurban shells to fit the Bachmann doodlebug chassis? Maybe even smaller ones to fit the LL FA chassis?

Those already exist on Shapeways, FYI. Just not the newer versions. (technically, the ones I Shapeways *can* be used on 89ft cars, they just look a little different than the modern frame setups on the newer cars.)

I would like to see some one take over the Model Power molds and start producing what they once produced as a lot of their equipment was great and perhaps improve what was not very good or had issues.

I'd like to see more N scale streetcars--there is a very nice looking Brooklyn Peter Witt on Shapeways, so a Perley Thomas NOPS car would be great.
The Milwaukee Little joe looks great, as do the Baldwins. Perhaps a 3d model of a Alco C415?

More young people starting the great hobby of model railroading.

MRC is taking over the licensing, so hopefully that means they will be producing/selling them now.

I'd like to see Athearn produce N-scale versions of their Standard and Veranda Turbines. Looks like Kato is going to produce the U.P. FEF-3's that should have logically been produced by Athearn, if they would follow their HO scale development protocol.

The Turbines would include various versions for different time periods, such as with or without tenders, with or without roof-mounted intakes...etc., etc.

Since the research has already been done as to what the prototypes looked like and what their paint and accessories should be, half the project is already done.

    C'mon Athearn...do the smart thing!

    Cheerio!

How about either of these a affordable version of VGN VIRGINIAN RY's 2-10-10-2, VGN 2-8-8-8-2 or one of ERIE's TRIPLEX locomotivesfrom any manufacturer as long as its in N-SCALE.

Bachmann to produce a Santa Fe 4-8-4 on par with their other recent steam offerings, or BLI to bring out the 3751 class northern in N...

In the next year or so:

    1) Kato F2 in B&M with a single headlight and either Blue Bird or Minuteman paint scheme (preferably both) with matching B unit.

    2) Atlas GP-9 in B&M Blue Bird (as opposed to their recent blue dip scheme), I know they did a special run a few years ago but those are hard to find and they could preserve the unique nature of that previous special run by just using different numbers... B&M had 50 GP-9s after all.

    3) Someone, any one, to make small building kits without much detail at a lower price. For those of who do not demand 100% realism from our layouts some less expensive buildings would be great. I don't want my stuff pre-built/decorated and I don't want to pay $20 for what amounts to a model kit of a building with a foot print of 1 inch X 2 inches (especially considering how much material goes into a 1/24 model car kit and they are roughly the same price as many small to mid sized N scale building kits).

We'll never see any decent RTR Santa Fe steam in N scale so I won't bother running off a list but I will repeat my request I make every time a thread like this comes up.

How about an RSD15? Atlas? Anyone?

I found the auto frames on Shapeways. Didn't have time to peruse the other 135 pages though...
