The two covered rollers (I can't tell from the picture, but they are either the handi wipe or canvas covered rollers - personally I think they are the canvas covered) should work just fine in the center and right track cleaner. The missing rollers will look like the brass uncovered roller you have (if it has a slit, it's for the handi wipe, no slit it is for the canvas cover). The other roller (the Cratex® roller) looks like a round bright boy with a center axle. I couldn't find a picture of just the roller (yet) but it looks like this in the car (see attached photo)...since you could only run one roller at a time in the car, the other rollers are probably in a box (probably the box the cars came in) somewhere. Ask and see if Jenn will look for them. The box usually looks like this (see second attached photo)
I contacted Jenn and she found some rollers she wasnt sure what they went to. She is sending those to me. Hopefully the ones I am missing are in there.
After a quick trip back on the wayback machine, it looks like you could order the cars with just one roller of your choice (except the TrackStar which only had the Cratex roller) but both of my other cars came with all three rollers so she may or may not be able to find the other rollers... Or never mind since you posted while I was posting
Well, based on my sample size of 2 ... My Box car only has one roller (cratex). It's in place and ready to roll. The plastic insert doesn't have a spot for any additional rollers. The gondola has one roller (cratex) installed and the plastic insert has spots for 2 additional ones. Canvas on the left and handi-wrap on the right. It kinda makes sense. Being a gondola, the rollers are simply drop in so can be exchanged in an instant Not shown here, but the top of the gondola (where the roller doesn't stick out) is a smooth flat black surface. The slot that others have mentioned for the handi-wrap roller is clearly seen here. Both cars also have a magnet and dust brushes. These were fleaBay purchases, so who knows if the information inserts are correct, but here's what my boxes say ... The box car is TS1112 The gondola has lins for TS1115 and TS1116, but neither box is checked Steve
OK.... Thanks all on the info for the Aztec Track Cleaning cars I 'think' I have them all in the right jewl cases. I 'believe' I have the right TS______ numbers on the jewel cases. I 'hope' I have the rollers sorted out and which car gets which ones. I only have one Aztec car left that I dont know what the name of it is......... I have 'predators' and 'elliminators' and 'track stars' and a 'mini monsoon'. Any info on the above car would be appreciated... TIA .
The wayback machine didn't have anything like this from Aztec (and I don't recall ever seeing it either). A prototype or a one off? A double Trackstar? You got me...
Looking at this car closer it almost looks homemade. BUT...that center area is one solid piece. It holds a 3rd roller perfectly. I dont see anywhere online or anywhere else that center piece being used on any other track cleaner....hmmmmmmmmm. . . If Jim Reising made this car he did an excellent job ! It works great and tracks great ! .
That wouldn't stop the magnet from working. It may even help. I have seen one on an O gauge track cleaning car in the past. I believe it was an under table uncoupler.
