Some love for rail tracks in the following images. Do take a look at the Metro system crossing overhead the conventional rail tracks. And couple of images showing Metre Gauge tracks which are remnants of decades long abandoned system(Gauge conversion took place).

    Railfan,
I really like the images you have been posting.

Please translate the writing on the wall in image 40216. This wall must have been very colorful when first painted.

    Thanks

What is the reason for green painted rail?

That is an abandoned track. The writing is an advertisement for a school saying "government certified English Medium school". Since that track kinda is away from from any rail station, someone would have put an ad. It's rather common here.

Nothing in particular. It only appears green in that part and that too, from inside. Other parts of the track are normal blackish in colour as evidenced by the other two images taken from same station.
