This link was sent to me to the TC website. http://www.tc.gc.ca/railway/publications/inspection.htm take a look at the "Results by Function-Equipment" Safety defect rate on cars was 20.6% Safety defect rate on Locomotives was 53.9% Yikes!! I know Hunter is trying to chase the operating ratio even lower. This is ridiculous, blatent Negligence and neglect!! I am very concerned for the employees that operate the equipment. Hard to believe things have changed so much in the last 10 years, they sure have gone off the tracks (pardon the pun). Hopefully changes for the better will start to happen and stop this lower operating ratio neglect nonsense.
