VIA paint scheme

    Did many of the VIA F units recieve this version of their paint scheme? The picture was taken in late 1979.

    When we were over in Toronto in 1985, all units were painted that way. Originally I think they had VIA on the nose but this was later left off as an economy measure.

    I prefer that scheme to the later ones used on the F40's.

    This is the more common paint scheme that I've seen. Notice the yellow on the nose is different. I like the angled yellow better. But any F unit is prefered over the current crop of units used for power. The FPA4's were a neat unit. An A-B set that lived in Portola for a while ended up in Arizona on the Grand Canyon Railway. Long live the FPA4's.
