I did notice that the Dash-9-44cw never even had stinceling as far as all pictures I seen go. I wonder if this is a planned retire original?
The 700 series Dash 9's and the SD75's seem to be holding up well. The Dash 8's, GP60M's, and some of the other Dash 9's needs to be put out of there missery and re-painted. Kevin
Yes. Remember when most of the rivers in the Mississippi River Watershed north of Memphis flooded? In order to keep running, the Santa Fe had to run all its Chicago traffic over another railroad and cross the Mississippi south of St. Louis. They chose the BN, because they were always friendlier with them than the Yellow Peril. And by the time the flood waters receded, they had run up such a huge bill that they decided doing a merger and getting the debt forgiven was wiser than spending a couple of decades paying it off.
