Tom Mann is working on weathering some of my Engines and Rolling Stock. This is my AZL SD40T-2. More pictures coming soon on this Thread and on my Website.
Hmmm! Damn Shame!!! It's a Damn Shame that Southern Pacific let their locos get this dirty!!! Looks excellent!!!! Hobo Tim
Wonderful! That reminds me there is a very interresting article in the latest ZTrack about weathering. I'll try to follow this for my SP locos! Dom
Great work Tom, push the bar up a bit!!! Cool thing about SP, their stuff got real dirty and worn out. We still have a lot of old SP Freight here in Southern Oregon you get some great weathering ideas from them. Joe MTL
That is how i like SP trains!!! WERY DIRRRTY!!! I just love that weathering! As soon as the sd40-2 comes i am going to rebuild it into a SD40T-2, cause it is nothing that says SP better than a dirty SD40T-2
I grew up around a lot of SP stuff. I sometimes think that the bloody nose scheme with the dark gray was all about hiding the fact that they never washed their stuff. I miss the SP, dirt and all. I wonder if anyone is selling SP grime through the Walthers catalog.
Hi Jurg! There is a couple cars that look just like yours near my house that UP is using for tool cars. Great job!
It amazes me how you guys get all that detail in such a small model. Awsome job. I'd love to see the how-to on this.
Friends, the pictures are now on my website. If you move your mousepointer of the pictures, you can see the before / after effect. Please enjoy! BTW every comment is appreciated. http://www.rosetown.ch/News/Weathering.htm
