Hi ya, guys! It's just paint on these. I try to use chalks sparingly, because they get to be a handful when they need to be sealed, etc.
Come on Jürg, I have enough to do. Please do not post any more pix as it makes me want to do even more weathering on my stuff No time
Don, I had mix results with Pine-Sol. I soak it, then I check it every five minutes. With the Penzee hopper and the ribside, and it was great. I also try it with the plug door ribside, and it took off more then what I wanted to.
Man, I can't wait until SD-40's are available again. Oh wait, let me make that clear, the SD40T-2's. My UP stable is missing one. What a dream to lash up 3-5 loco consists. This year end shows leading to next year's NTS are going to really stoke up some people.
Weekend work. Mine needed more and some enhancement. I need to add some grease steaks and blow off the residuals.
Hey guys, I found this link. I think you may need it! http://www.interclean.com/?gclid=CNH239Tek44CFRUHWAodclG9Eg Rob
Jeff, great job on weathering those engines. Looking at both SPs, I can see one is a toy, and the other is working hard. Also, I like the Microscale graffitti. They look sharp. I will have to order a set. Randy tells me its not CSX if it doesnt have graffitti. Rob, where do you find the time. Keeping a full time job, run Ztrack, and be a stand up comedian.
John, that grafitti is the Blaire Line stuff. Very poor print density, lots of dots or raster lines. Some are quite bad, some really bad, some sorta OK. The Micro Scale and the other company that slips my mind at the moment (I mentioned it by mistake on this morning's chat) are significantly better. The tagging from Micro Scale are so sharp, I don't know how they printed it that fine. You almost can't see on the decal film. I'll shoot a picture and edit the post later.
I liked the first Santa Fe car the best. Looks to be just the right amount off rust and dust. The logo paint peel and rust looks awesome.
