My wife got some glue dots the other day at the craft store and when she was done with them I decided to try them out helping the LPPs with standing. Here some attempts. And here are a couple of train shots.
Tom: The photo's look great.... Keep them coming... The reefer is very nice BTW. Stay cool and run steam....
Finally progressed far enough on my commercial district to take some photo's Great photos from others have kept me motivated as I slug through some urban scenery. Thanks
Dan that looks really nice. Got any more pics? what is the ballast made out of? What are those grass tufts made out of?
The ballast is tile grout mixed with some woodland scenics ballast. I mix this up as a paste and apply it wet. Tuffs of grass are fake fur planted one tuft at a time. Telephone wire is elastic thread. Here are a couple of more shots.
Flash, I'm hoping a bumper of some sort will be added to prevent that ADN car from falling off into the river!!
Thanks I really struggled with this scene over the last year. I had a lot going on in my real life, and this scene required so many buildings. It seems like it has taken me forever to get it to where it is now. I 'm looking forward to starting the "next layer" of scenery. Leaf debris, garbage, dirt filled gutters etc. All the stuff nobody notices when they walk in, but after a couple of visits they start picking up on it.
Dan The colour scheme in the last picture of the CNR diesel units is that what is refered to as the executive colour scheme for CNR
Actually Owen that was the standard scheme on all CN diesels up until 1960 when the switched over to the Sargent stripes. They applied the passenger derivative of this on the E8's they acquired from the I.C. and called them Executive. They were just reviving the classic scheme of the 50's.
