Here is one of our club NTRAK modules depicting Stafford, Texas in 1951. Court Hardware, the Post Office and Tritico's Grocery all burned down in 1953. The Cash building is still there. ZOOM
Well here we go. This first is of the payson siding This next one i put in because I like it. before after
I have been working on soundchipping a couple of locos this week, and it was perfect timing when my Champ decals arrived in the post. There's still some work to do, but here's a first look at them First the Bachmann 4-8-2, fitted with Soundtraxx LC decoder. Some of the loco details are a bit generic and differ from pictures of the Soo Line locos I've seen, but it was the only road I could choose that got into Chicago, albeit from the Northwest. However, I have seen pics of Soo locos on BRC trackage in South Chicago, presumably on transfer duties. Next up is the Athearn 4-6-2 Pacific, again with LC decoder in the tender. I had to add pickups to the tender to improve running qualities and ended up in Grand Trunk Western service - a good one to choose, as Elmore Yard is in South Chicago, near Blue Island. Again there is still some work to do - handrails, numberboards, move bell to front of smokebox, etc but it is a quite close representation, from the pics I have seen. Jon

Here are a couple of shots of the layout-in-progress. First, a view of three building I did over Thanksgiving weekend: And this shows what eventually will be a fully built-up downtown: Finally, a shot of the Plaza Hotel...the city's finest!
A quartet of early diesels led by RSD5 as SP2885 (and GP9/RS11/GP9 black widows) pass western San Antonio on the way to pull the evening grain train to Sugarland, Texas. SP2885 is one of the few RSD5s to be painted in bloody nose colors.
Excellent work guys no pics from me this weekend as I'm busy playing with real track . Hope to get back into it next weekend.
Here is what Colonel is supervising: Not a model, but interesting to see. maybe Colonel will post some more information next week.
Thanks Flash will ost some photos during the week. The unit you see here is one from the manufacturers site. We are using the same equipment call a Desec. It is operated remote control and carries turnouts under itself and postions them on site within a few millimetres.
Here's what I have done between work this weekend. Swapped frames on my GP50, so it is now a running model, and renumbered the model. Added some detail parts. A little more weathering and painting, and she'll be done.
