Hey Tom, Yes,there is more CSX sneaking in. To make the Juice Train prototype,I had to.I guess thats one good thing about sticking to 1 era,you don't have to go crazy keeping up with what's new. Is that a new area of your diorama? It looks good with the OH bridge.
Nice picture and composition, Eric. I like the buildings, roof work, background, etc. Nice headlight on the engine, too.
Part of the upper level of the JJJ&E showing the town of San Marino and part of the Broken Tree Division of the San Marino Yard. The Unitrack has been completely weathered and ballasted. Part of the new fourth addition to the JJJ&E. A seven track 15' staging yard is off to the right. Bowen's Mills Lumber Company is in the foreground with a S-2 GN 4-8-4 steam loco. The turntable and switch yard are in the background. Stay cool and run steam.....
Not layout, but N-Trak. This is a close up shot of one of my favorite modules from Heritage N-Trak. Two GM&O GP38's and a caboose tie up on the siding near the Junction. Bloomer Line RS11 #7500 leads a frieght of ICG GP18's. The Bloomer locomotive is a custom paint I did for this customer. The line and it's colors are real, but the locomotive is fiction. Jim
Tompm, Great runby as usual. Do you have any photos of the pile up after that LV gon reaches the first facing point turnout or grade crossing? :-D AFN
Wow, I'm impressed with the engineering design on that helix..... combination reverse loop, helix, increasing spiral so that none of the inner supports get in the way of maintenance, one piece of plywood (looks like), stepped supports. It's probably been done before, but I've never seen it, so kudos!
I'll guess I'll post the Whitcomb 65-tonner progress over here, too. I'm doing this as a resin master, with several cab variations; starting with the slope and straight-sided cab versions. If I can get just a little more data or good guesses I do the elevated center cab too. If you're following this over on the Atlas board, the Tomix/Tomytec TM01-2-3 and 4 mechanisms are getting darn hard to find and 'may' be out of production. If you have any news or leads post them over there; otherwise grab 'em if you can.
I have been working on 4 Kato SD70M in SP. I used undecorated models since I wanted to add as much BLMA, Sunrise and own parts as possible. Here are some progress shots. The next one is a little bit further and ready for painting.
I was just looking at "the Nolan" and colonel's Layout, and thinking to myself "sheesh why I am I taking so long getting things done on my tiny little doorpanel?". Out comes the structure kit that's staring at me on my desk right now. Thanks for the inspiration/shaming guys.
