Weekend Modeling Photo Challenge "Freight" Ends Monday October 12th. Many apologies for the late start, it's been a busy week. Nonetheless, let's get this show on the road! *Please read all rules as they may have changed from previous weeks* If you notice a typo, error, or confusing statement, please notify Mystere immediately for correction and clarification. Modeling Photo Challenge Topic: "Freight" 1. All challenges close at 10pm Pacific Standard Time, and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread. 2. Please use the challenge as a motive to take a new photograph rather than using a photograph that you have taken in the past. 3. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!! 4. Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged. 5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully. 6. Please use the Cutting Room Floor thread for related but ineligible images. 7. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will not be included in the poll and may be moved to the cutting room floor thread. 8. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between Friday October 9th and Monday October 12th. 9. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct. 10. On October 13th, all entries will be put up for a public vote, in which all members of Trainboard may vote for their favorite entry(s), regardless of whether you submitted an entry or not. You may vote for multiple entries. Let's have some fun and see some freight!
Also, one more thing. If you have a title for your image it will help me out in posting the poll. It can also help identify your image for voters. This is not a requirement, just something to think about when posting your entry.
Here is a brand new image, just 20 minutes old as I type. Title would be, UP Greyhound Challenger #3984 departing Seneca Falls.
Nice to have you back Colonel, with a great shot too. Plenty of time for the rest of us to get an entry in. Pretty broad topic, no excuses for not entering!
Trouble on the beach. As a freight rumbles across a bridge over the beach, someone appears to have stolen young ladie's swim suit top and is high tailing it with a crowd in hot pursuit.
Switching in Nashville I went and took a photo minutes ago of my Nashville and Eastern HO layout. Here is a U30B pulling a string of "Freight" in front of the POD warehouse in Nashville.Enjoy...
Hey thanks Nick for the comments.Hopefully since it is getting cold outside I can finally get in there and get some work done.
Great stuff everyone. Still a few hours left for those who haven't made an entry yet! Here's mine. Pepsi Freight.
beautiful pictures everyone!! Thomas, thats is some mighty fine modeling you have done, and i love the graffiti on the boxcars! Im new here, and i have no idea what this photo challenge is? Can someone give me a quick explanation of what is required and what the rules are? Is there a theme? Thanks in advance,
Hi Josh, welcome to the boards. Rules for the photo contests are listed in the first post of each contest thread. They are purely for entertainment and open to everyone. The theme each weekend is listed in the rules post and at the end of the weekend everyone on trainboard may vote for their favorite photo(s). You may have also noticed the green TB Photowinner icon many members display in their signature. They all get those here by winning a contest. I hope you'll join in the fun, from what I've seen in your posts so far, I think you'll win an icon in no time.
ahhh okay i get it now, thats simple enough and thanks for the comments on my work, i look forward to joining in on the future photo contests
Hi Mark, Thanks for the comments. Yes, I model quickly. I guess I don't feel I have 'forever' to do these things. The CCRR/Northern Division is a third completed at this point. My little villiage will be all lighted this time around. The Northern Division is the last of the CCRR trilogy so I won't tear it down anytime soon once it is finished. Did you get my private message to you? Cheers, Jim CCRR/Socalz44
Well, our poll was bumped from the main page, so I'll try to bump this a few times more than usual to get a fresh footing in the new posts list. Vote!
