[IMG] Weekend Modeling Photo Challenge "No Subject" Ends Monday November 23rd.

Greetings everyone. We've had so much fun in the past when we simply drop the topic and let everyone decide their own subject. It's time for another fresh week. No Subject. [IMG]

    10. Since its an open subject this weekend, why not give us a paragraph or two about what you photographed. It's always fun when read made up stories about rail fanning the layout. [IMG]
This is simply desired, but not required.
On November 24th, all entries will be put up for a public vote, in which all members of Trainboard may vote for their favorite entry(s), regardless of whether you submitted an entry or not. Voting will last 4 days. You may vote for multiple entries. To do this, you must select all entries for which you wish to vote at once, and then click the submit button.

    Reiteration:

I'm testing out a new rule idea this weekend as seen above.

    10. Since its an open subject this weekend, why not give us a paragraph or two about what you photographed. It's always fun when read made up stories about rail fanning the layout.
This is simply desired, but not required.

No need to call in an editor or anything. We're still just judging the photo, not your paragraph. [IMG]

Sierra RR. #18 pulls a passenger excursion past a line Sierra RR Box Cars.

Just got the orange Sierra box car today in the mail. Found it in the N Scale Supply pre-owned section.

Gramps, that is a nice tree. I was almost too fixated on the tree to notice the bird on the power poll.

I will add a photo, but not before I pass on my compliments to all who have submitted an entry. Nice going, gentlemen. Thanks for keeping the bar juuuuuussst above my reach. I'll get there yet! :tb-biggrin:

A N&W J Class on an excursion in the highlands near Seneca Falls is all shined up in her Sunday Best. She is doing her parent company proud.

Through the opening in the woods.

Well this is the best I could come up with. My other idea ended up being a dud.

Through the opening in the woods, we just begin to see a box car of fresh goods being positioned at the loading dock of Handover Freight Co.

Mark, I have had that experience as well. It comes to you as perfect and perfectly executable, but an hour later, and about 50 trips of the shutter, you throw in the towel. Other times, you are just fooling around, not really focused, and not even really enthused about your idea, but the first couple of test images soon have you running back and forth to your bench and your computer.

Yours is a nice image, imaginative and artistic. I like your trees, tracks and ballast, and your sky looks very good indeed. I also try for looking-through-or between-something shots, and have abandoned most of them. Focus is often the problem, but so can angles and lighting.

Ok I'm in. I call this one 'Early Morning at the Turntable'. Still working on the Northern Division layout, not nearly finished, but I thought this would be a progress shot of one section. Cheers, Jim CCRR/Socalz44

Before Kato came out with their USRA Mikado, I kit bashed a Kato Japanese prototype into an MKT Mikado. Soon after that, you all know what happened.;)

Great photos so far! If I'm not too late (it's midnight here at GMT!), here's my contribution from my OO9 (HOn30) layout.
A shot of my newly acquired (and still to be repainted) Kiso Forest Baldwin, taking some log cars across the Llafretaw bridge.
