Good morning from cold and windy with occasional lake effect snow Northeast Ohio!

    This week's accomplishments!

First an IMWX 1937 AAR Boxcar kit with Yarmouth Sill Steps painted with Scalecoat II Black and Orange paints then lettered with Highball Graphics decals. The NH sold off a large number of boxcars in the mid 50's and then had them refurbished and leased them back in the new McGinnis paint scheme.

Next, a Tangent PC G43C 52'6" Gondola kit, painted with Floquil PC Green and Rust Paints then lettered with Dan Kohlberg decals. The PRR started the G43 gondola fleet and G43A, B and C classes followed under Penn Central until 3,500 of these cars were built replacing old G31 and other classes that were worn out. The various classes had various floors along with coil racks and other applicances.

A pair of Kato SD-45 painted for the PC with a general freight, I find doing models of the PC is very interesting with all the varied equipment and repaints.

    Have a good weekend!

The usual Sunday morning breakfast crowd is enjoying great food at Collin's Diner, in Canaan, CT.
The Canaan Union Station and wye are not so busy on this quiet Sunday, on the N-scale Housatonic RR.

@r_i_straw, I remember this! Sharp looking "oil patch". Cold, wind, snow, looks like Ohio is back to normal. More crisp work. Gotta' love Housatonic.

Nope. "Based" on an artwork featured on a catalog for another manufacturer and some of its train sets as well.

SP 5120 rolls out of the engine shop. She does have a hiccup in the rear truck (I'm guessing she picked up some ballast), but today she's here to help test the clearance of the AMROC Yard's shop building and its new foundation, part of ongoing yard upgrades. The little 70-tonner just gets through the door, but taller engines' horns still hit the doorframe. Looks like we need a thicker foundation and/or some taller doors.

I don't have a few of those old pieces in the set anymore or they are not in good shape any more so I substitute trains from my own collection onto the image.
The locomotive is a Kato model of a Japanese JNR Mikado bashed into a 0-8-0 switcher and two of my original Atlas N scale cars.
    IMG_1513.JPG
    Then a Kato E-8.
    IMG_1510.JPG
And finally some of the Atlas Rivarossi heavyweight cars.

The New Haven car had a derailment, just like the prototype.
