Good morning from Northeast Ohio, don't have much time to comment as I have to leave for cardiac rehab in a few minutes. Here is this week's accomplishments: This is a special run Accurail 50' boxcar that Brian Everett had made with all the correct lettering on a car that was close to the prototype. I made the following changes to the car: removed the cast on grabs and installed ladders, changed the door from 8' to 9' with a new Kadee YSD, added end of car cushioning from Moloco and then A-Line Sill Steps for those I broke off. Touched up the paint where I did the work with Scalecoat II BN Green after carefully masking the existing paint work. The DT&I acquired these cars for shipping auto parts for the various Ford Factories. Next: Tichy War Emergency gon, made with wood sides to lower the steel used on the car during WWII. Added all the brake detail to the car, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red Paint and lettered with National Scale Car Decals. Used in general service while on the NYC. Finally, did a couple of more trailers for the DT&I Railblazer train, one a Walthers Trailmobile, the other a modified Athearn that got rid of the FGE details on the trailers. Painted with Scalecoat II White and Silver Paints and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. Since were into DT&I today, here is a couple of GP40-2's with an auto parts train. Thanks for looking! Here is my Penn Central EP5 by Rapido. I have had this model for a few months and finally got around to unboxing it tonight and tested it. Since the Juice Train was sitting on the tracks it volunteered to help. Locos ran smoothly and pulled the reefers with ease.
Been working on Osborn models, Cessna 172, Piper Cub J-3, and Picnic tables. Area needs vacuuming And organization too! Can we say dirt, geez! Dust particles in N Scale in a picture is rough I should feel ashamed of such a photo It is what it is for now! Notice the Fred Flintstone wheel on the Piper Cub. Have to paint them Black, the landing gear on that aircraft is very fragile Somebody broke it during assembly? So I deleted the original photo. It was really bad. I'll clean up the area and retake it later!
A juice train hauled by juice. That EP-5 is beautiful, exceptional detail. These came to the PC from the New Haven I think.
Well, it's still the weekend! And this week saw the addition of another GP9. A Walthers GO9 phase II dressed in the Kodachrome scheme. It will be detailed and get an SF added to her flanks. Have the remainder of a great weekend
Why are planes and picnic tables in my yard? Because I can Oh oh, hedge fell over. How does that happen. Because it can And I forgot the Glue Dots! I know, I know, how did the planes get there? It's magic Main thing is, all Osborn kits completed! Including the 6 picnic tables. One day the figures will be there with just the glue dot and not the clear plastic film they come on. But I did get rid of most of the dust!
