I'm back again. Was away from the internet for a few weeks. Looking forward to see what you folks come up with to post this week. Here is an old photo of a Southern Pacific steamer. This is an old Arnold Rapido Pacific that I bought back in the 1960's. I modified it a bit and it still runs fine.
I finished my two GHQ depressed center flat cars. Still need some weathering and maybe a load. The Conrail is from a prototype but I just made up the Cotton Belt car.
I like the image with the ten-wheeler, MC Fujiwara. It looks very natural. Good lighting, good composition. Nice shot. Pennsy Power on Sentinel Coal Spur
That's Bachmann's "undecorated" 4-6-0. I swapped out the (huge) stock tender with a Bmann USRA short tender and wired in a DZ125 decoder. (The Bmann stock dual decoder is alright, but the DZ125 makes for smoother slow speeds) I also installed MT905 Z couplers. Thanks, Crandell. I finally figured out how to adjust the white balance on my camera, and still have a long way to go. That photo is a bit yellow for my tastes. But, since yesterday's photo shoot, I actually read the instruction manual (gasp!) and found out I can "set" the WB with a piece of paper in the scene's lighting, so I'll be trying that out today. In the meantime I started playing with the GIMP: Another program with 20 kabillion settings that'll take me 20 years to figure out, but it's fun! Happy Weekend, all. Keep those great photos coming!
Maybe it's personal preference on my part, but I like this photo better- give it an air of nostalgia.
Haven't have much to post due to a recent addition to the family but I snuck down to the basement today to finish up some projects for others... A couple steam projects I have been working on for others..... NYC Empire State - Quickie C&O 614 stand in until I have more time to do it right - Includes decoder, tender pickup, and LED headlight.
MC thats a good looking loco. The tender was throwing me at first. I thought you had some oddball brass number, thats how good she looks.Nice to see all the steam on here.Might have to get one o them B'mann 10 wheelers now
