Athearn released (finally) their version of the Bombardier Commuter Bike cars. I got the three car set... I took some photos. They've upgraded the paint, and added the metal surround of the diaphragm. The car with the opening date on top was a gift from the company I work for, Utah Transit Authority. That's a True Line Trains MP36 leading....
That's a nice looking set. Whatever happened to True-Line trains? With the new run of Bombardier cars from Athearn, and the upcoming Rapido version as well, this would have been the best time for them to put out a new run of MP36 locomotives. I have seen models come up on ebay, but schemes like Chicago Metra seem to sell for insane amounts of money. I just wish they could get back in the game. Do you know if anyone bought the tooling?
Not usually allowed to post in here cause my photos are not very good But I like this one from last night after celebrating that my DCC wiring worked. The switch going outward attaches to the second base when in operation.
I heard a rumor that Atlas bought the tooling. But haven't heard anything solid. The one in the photo doesn't run, a all the wiring is BLACK, and there are no instructions. A wire came loose, and I don't know where to reattach it
Playing around in and with the 1:220 snow....... For more, look here: https://www.trainboard.com/highball...mber-26th-2021-weekend-modeling-plans.141185/ Have a nice WE! Sven
This scene mostly developed by accident and soon won’t be able to be replicated when the classification yard is completed and operational. Despite no layout lighting and unpainted backdrop, among other things, I can already see scenes start to develop on the new layout. A northbound empty coal train bound for the Bulltown Branch rolls by the classification yard at Charleston. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is the frame for my N scale sawmill that I finished last night. Will use 0.030 by 0.010 inch strip styrene for the siding and HO brick styrene on the roof to represent shingles. Once weathered it will look pretty good. It measures 7 inches long, 4 wide and 2.2 tall. Next project is drawing track plans for the HO scale Ft. Scott and Beyond layout which will start tonight Joe
