Candy, that's an interesting perspective to creating a scene. Definitely a far more realistic result than I, and possibly many others create using the helicopter/drone perspective. The well worn axiom, "the devil is in the details", is adapted for your case: The Angel is in the Details.
Raleigh, NC had their scale model show this weekend. My favorite club in Raleigh is the "Sipping and Switching Society of North Carolina". They have a fairly large and sharp modular layout. The 2nd photo is of a couple of engine shells someone modeled as heading for the scrap heap. Not a bad idea for those dang shells I have laying around from various projects that went wrong for whatever reason. They had these coupled together and actually rolling out of the yard. Took quite a few pictures this morning while over there... awesome layout and worth "Googling" to check them out for those so inclined.
Here are a few progress images of the spot I have been working on for the last week or so, this is how it looked after the installation of rock castings. Then some back drops painted, hey don't laugh, I never said I was any good at painting, or anything else for that matter LOL. It is evident I am self taught. another Now with some trees, a cabin, and a few vehicles and people. another Now a couple images of the cabin and other stuff. Thanks for stopping by!
I'll agree with that completely. Didn't see the photos until I was exiting last night, but the scene is outstanding in all respects.
Must be my "feminine" side, as I always put the lid back on. Well, actually that is because if I did not, even when empty the too many local improperly supervised dogs and area wildlife would be checking it out, and at least tip it over....
I always put the lid back on.....so it doesn't get lost, and if it isn't there I know to look for it!! Jim
