I have not done much to the layout so I only have a recycled photo to share. Now that its cooling off a bit I may just get some work done and finish this scene and move on to the next section. My plans are to do the section just left of this area along the back of the layout. JD, I always enjoy your photos and HarryII you must have made quite an impact on these kids, good job.
For the past couple of weeks I've been working on two old Mantua flatcars. I cut the horrible looking tops off them (made for culvert pipe I think) and leveled them off with some wallboard joint compound. I now have the new deck down on one of them and it looks really good. This photo shows what they were like when I got them: Here's how they looked after I cut them down and painted them: And here's the one I've completed:
I saw the photo and started thinking that I haven't had good French Toast in a long time. Now I am hungry.
Nothing new from me either, but here is an old pic of a kitbash I did some time back: Frisco 54' woodrack, kitbashed from the Walthers GSC Bulkhead Flatcar kit, some sheet styrene, Reefer Yellow paint, leftover decals, weathering chalks, and Kadee couplers. No, I didn't kitbash the Frisco Russian in the background......................
A fantasy ABBA set of F3's for a member of our NTrak club. Waiting on ribbons for the printer to finish up the decals. My CFE 3883 now has a mate....until it goes to it's new home. The building collection of power seen on the local I&O run from Cincinnati to Washington Courthouse. Not pictured are a GP40-3, GP30, and an SD40-2 yet to be started or painted.
Been doing some modelling lately, just not on the railroad, about once a year I get the urge, so this how I spent the last couple of weeks. F-4G Phantom II "Wild Weasel" The cockpit
