I am sort of finished with the house I have been scratch building to put on one of my NTRAK modules.
A little switcher action
Good morning from Sunny and Mild Northeast Ohio!
Here is this weeks accomplishment.
First up, another Front Range Combo Door kit, but on this one I narrowed the plug door to six feet and used a seven foot slider along with A-line sill steps, a Branchline Diagonal panel roof and some grabs from the scrap box to replace the poor grabs that came with the kit. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red #2 then lettered with decals from Mask Island Decals. Car was in general service on the Rock Island.
Next a Tangent PS 4740CF Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II White and Black paints then lettered with Oddballs Decals. Central Soya based out of Fort Wayne, IN promoted the planting and use of Soybeans and became a major player in the world of Soybean production.
Kato GP35 and Stewart U25B with a Rock Island general freight, running on the Strongsville Club Layout.
Thanks for looking!
More fine modeling. "Katy" rocks!
Here is a little more recent progress on the N scale Housatonic RR. This is the storage spur in New Milford. I got the spur tracks painted, weathered and ballasted.
I added in a pole line to the Kimberly Clark transformer substation and along with some ground cover and weeds.
Picked up a MOW stake bed truck for D&RGW crews. This Athearn FORD F-850 goes really well with the Boom truck.
Here we have a PRR E6 Atlantic (Broadway Limited) bringing a train into Leiperville Union Station. A PRR DD1 (GHB International) waits for the E6 to be cut off the train so it can take the train through third rail territory.
Keeping the fires stoked and ready to steam away!
I was going to weather this hopper just a little. Then I found some photos of prototype cars with banged up roofs, and got a bit too into practicing my rust splotches, and here we are…
Benchwork and structures....
Accurail kit with watercolor pencil highlights.
Material installed and weekend plan done. Even have some time left for a Harley tour.
