I apologize for the grain. I think I took this with my old Cell phone. My old old Cell phone.

I was in Cheyenne for work a number of years ago. We were staying at this luxury resort and working at the Echostar facility outside of town. So every day we drove to the Yard and along the yard and then out to I80.

One day I caught this pair of SD9043s heading west.

I am not sure what Farmrail intends to do with these. They were parked behind the locomotive shop in Clinton, Oklahoma. The just picked up a bunch of GP38s to replace them.

Found the GREX SPS train picking up, or laying out ties this morning.

Same train, as seen from the rear.

Caught leaving town yesterday. A pair of SD40-2 sandwiching an SD60M.

Maybe they're going to turn them into these:

Yes, this was a blatant attempt to get someone to acknowledge these essentially brand new models from EMD.

When this line was first placed into operation, some bonehead had named it the South Lake Union Trolley. No joke. There was quite an uproar when people discovered the first letters of each word did not work well as an acronym. There were even T-shirts made and sold. "I rode the..." So they quickly renamed it the Seattle Streetcar. Anyhow, this one isn't quite easy to take a decent photo. Streets, vehicles, utility poles, sun angles. A few summers back at the Lake Union Park stop:

Here's an oldie. Judging from the approximate age of my mother and aunt, I would guess this is somewhere in the 1954-56 range. I do not know what that steamer is, or where it is, though it is likely this was a vacation shot somewhere in the western half of the U.S.

"Ghost" on the water tank. Looks like a "40" on the number plate. Might be useful clues? Ghost Train? Ghost Town?

And here is the Ghost Town Railroad station that can be seen in the photo above behind the locomotive. Looks like Santa is hanging out down at the station today.

And here we have a hold up on the train itself.

Knotts Berry Farm. What a great place.

The train ride isn't quite as scenic as DL's, but the equipment is awesome.

Oh, wow. I hadn't even begun the basic research on that photo but I guess I didn't have to. You got it!

One of the highlights of my youth. I was 5 years old when my family visited both Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm in 1957. I remember both train rides especially.

Ken, this reminded me of an incident when Columbia University loaned a building to the US Navy during WW-II. On the day of the dedication, with press and numerous dignitaries in attendance, a flag was raised that had a blue field with large white letters containing the initials for Columbia University Naval Training.

The flag did not remain raised for long. :)-o)

The old telegraph line that ran within the narrow canyons here. In some places some of the wood is still attached...

I like to trot out the old joke, don't know if it's true that the original name for the BART, Bay Area Rapid Transit Heavy Rail system was Frisco Area Rapid Transit
