I caught this beauty hiding at the fuel racks as I was driving home from the club this morning I believe she's a dash 8 draper taper. I didn't think CN had these anymore, but I see no sublettering. No idea at all why she was in Roseville.
Got a comparatively recent one this week. This refugee from the pink era showed up in Marlette in the summer of 2019. I've been kicking myself for not picking up the athearn kit for this car back in the day, especially since one or more of these cars wound up on Detroit and Mackinac at one time.
Snapped yesterday, NS Train 265 on the former SOU main at Clemson, SC with the Virginian heritage unit lending a hand.
A week ago at the Galveston Railroad Museum. You can ride on a train. Well an old MoPac road caboose anyway.
A beauty from the past: Canadian Pacific 2928, Class F1a 4-4-4 "Jubilee" type at Exporail. Photo by my Dad, Roger, August 1975, back when I looked like this (same visit): A lot more hair, a lot slimmer, and a lot more limber...
Nice photo, Russell. You've got to admire the clean lines of the Jubilees and others in the same category, like the Royal Hudsons, the Selkirks (2-10-4s) etc. 1964... I was even younger back then... heck, I was still in diapers!
Sure would like to see some steam..............soon, I hope! Here's some older diseasel's setting here this week. Such a nice retro paint scheme, too.
