Last year when BNSF hauled Doyle's PA back east, it was tucked in behind an SD70MAC and several C44-9W. What years ago had seemed like a big ALCo simply looked tiny. I was very surprised by that size differential.
They're big all right. I was watching How It's Made, and it was how locomotives were made. It was filmed at London, and one shot showed some SD70ACe's on two tracks, with a European passenger loco between - it looked like a toy next to those behemoths.
