I had planned to post a picture today....Then I went on my PC to choose it and my entire DATA hard drive was gone.

After I recovered from the panic attack, I checked my backup drive only to discover that it hadn't run a backup in at least a year.... GAHHHHHHH.

At this point I started a command prompt and got serious. Thankfully I was able to recover the drive so it appeared again, then Windows spent about a half an hour recovering....and now I'm running my backup tool to get all the important stuff.

And at the same time I ordered a new drive from Amazon that will be here tomorrow.
    I need a stiff drink.

And I need all y'all to post some trains.

OK. Can do. This week, we're back on the narrow guage Huckleberry. This little side door caboose has been carrying visitors for quite a few years now, but before that, it served a 3 foot guage railroad in Mexico. It presented this rather atmosperic view as it was carrying the markers on this pariticular night photo session in the 90s.

T&NO 503 in North Bay Ontario, near the "waterfront" on Lake Nipissing:

By now you've realized that's Temiskaming and Northern Ontario, and not Texas & New Orleans...:D

This T&NO eventually became Ontario Northland, which was the owner of the yellow thing peeking out from behind 503, a former Werkspoor Trans-Europe Express trainset they acquired when it was 20 years old, and soon replaced the power cars with modified EMD FP7s.

This pair was waiting for authority to proceed east on Friday night. The second unit doesn't have the thoroughbred on the longhood, neat! PIC_0537.JPG

It won't be long, and this beast will be back pounding the rails in Texas. From two years ago when it came through Sugar Land. The old char house behind it is about all that is left of the Imperial Sugar refinery that I modeled.

Russell, I think the first N Scale Magazine I purchased had an article on your Sugarland modules.

A bit late to the party this weekend. One of the jewels of the collection, GP-30 2233 gleams in afternoon sun inside the RR Museum of Pennsylvania. The engine was repainted by Juniata in 2002, as close as the shop could get it to its Conrail paint scheme. If you go, check the website for latest hours and information. DSC08182.JPG
