This week will be a blast from the past. Over the years there has been thousands of exceptional photos shared on the boards here. This weekend, we'd like you to choose your single favorite Prototype photograph.

*Please read all rules as they may have changed from previous weeks*
If you notice a typo, error, or confusing statement, please notify Mr. Train or Mystere immediately for correction and clarification.

Topic: "Your Favorite Protrotype Photograph (Must be/have been photographed by you)"

    Contest Rules:

    • This challenge will close at 10:00 PM Pacific Standard Time Monday May 11th 2009 and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread.
    • Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!!
    • Though not required, commenting on other peoples entries is encouraged.
    • Only one entry per participant so please choose carefully. Please choose the Cutting Room Floor Thread to share the entries that did not make the cut.
    • For entries to be eligible they must be photographed by the user making the submission. Any entry found to be of someone else's photograph will be disqualified.
    • Dates and times on your camera don't matter this one time.
    • The topic this week is "Your Favorite of All Time Prototype Photograph"
Good luck. Spread the word. Since no "new" work is required, let's shoot to break the record for number of entries! If we get 50 or more entries, Mystere will contribute something special for the winner!

I took this image in the late summer of 2007 across the river, via the old Alexandra Bridge, from the Alexandra Park beside the Trans-Canada highway in the Fraser Canyon.

    BNSF Christmas Express

    Yowza, how do I choose?!?
[edit: I changed my mind on my favorite shot--there's just too many favs to choose from, but I like this one a lot, so why not?]

BNSF Christmas train crosses the Missouri, as the GN and MILW depot steeples look on, on 10 Dec 08 at 8:45 PM.
60-sec time exposure--the windows on all the stainless steel passenger cars were decked out with rope lights, making a spectacular smear job for the camera!

I don't get much opportunity to photograph the real thing but, I did pace a UP train of welded rail a couple years ago driving on I-10 in Arizona.
