We had a great prototype challenge with wooden trestles. Now lets see some model bridges!

    So, show me some Bridges!

    That's it! :D

New photos are highly encouraged. ;) As always, Photoshop is allowed but the main subject must remain a physical model. One image per member.

"Times up" will be posted next Monday so don't wait until the last minute. After the times up I'll post the poll for everyone on TrainBoard to choose their favorite image.

I had a killer bridge pic from a couple weeks ago (when I actually had my camera on me), wish I would've taken it later...

    Gone, but not forgotten

As we all know, this bridge no longer exists, and the photo is months old, but hey, you opened the door... I can't NOT participate... :tb-tongue:

    The (in)famous Mystere double-tracked, double-decker road/rail bridge:

Definitely FAMOUS rather than infamous. :)

That bridge is/was an incredible example of what can be achieved with a little inspiration and a bit of creative thinking!

I'm curious, is it completely dismantled or did you by chance save that section as a display module? :D

It's completely gone. Last time I saw it, it was in a box headed for Australia, sold to some chap on "that auction site".

    Fantastic entries so far!!

Not quite as dramatic as the bridges already entered, but you could fish off of it...

Love the scenery and bridge Scott. Very convincing.

Theres some good stuff here again, so I guess I better get off my butt and add some scenery to my viaduct and post. A solid 3 day weekend plan.

Bridges and trestles on St Paul Pass

There are a lot of bridges and trestles on a mountain line!

First, we have Kelly Creek trestle which is the longest and tallest one:

crossing it is the Hiawatha on excursion business

...and unique Squaw Creek trestle (with the middle span longer than the others)

...and 3 bridges in one picture:

The girders are from Micro Engineering, the truss bridge is from Walthers, but the trestle towers are scratchbuilt.

More photos in the Flickr photostream, which can be reached via the blog.

Hi Michael, those are all great bridge photos, but we only want one for the challenge.

You can include the other three via text link or post them to the Cutting Room Floor thread. But we only want to show one image per member. :)
