Well I forgot to ask Jim Wiggin, last week's challenge winner, for a topic this week. I'll have to see if he has a topic idea for the next challenge. In the mean time... Lets see some Passenger Trains! New photos are highly encouraged. One photo per member. "Times up" will be posted next Monday so don't wait until the last minute. After the "times up" I'll post the poll for everyone on TrainBoard to choose their favorite image.
Home on wheels. Red Ringling Bros. circus train, behind UP challenger #3985. Again, another older photo. Not much going on here. Plus, I'm still having major knee problems. Although, I'm able to walk and/or drive. All depends on what the weather does!
Mark was wondering about that but didn't want to bug you. No worries as it gives me time to think of a theme. The following is a picture I took last Fall in Monticelleo IL, it's old so I'm just posting it for you all to enjoy.
Ah, Sunshine! Fresh out of the Channel Tunnel, The Eurostar arrives at a recently refurbished St. Pancreas, London. I believe this particular train had just come from Brussels. Taken sometime late 2007 when I still lived in the UK. Also, first time entering, hope I've kept everything kosher...
Okay, here is mine. On the way home from work Tuesday. Marc from Union Station, Washington, DC to Metropolitan Grove, Gaithersburg, MD. Sorry, first one is a bit blurry. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3034/5736629947_0c0d62ba64_z.jpg Use this one for judging. Michael
Feel free to use a text link to a second image, but we only want one image for judging purposes. Great entries so far!
Oh boy, I'm sorry I missed seeing this contest posted. I would have joined Jerry and the others who posted steam powered pax trains. Heck, just shot one this past weekend. :tb-sad: Very nice entries, guys.
Maybe I can sneak this one in yet. I took it yesterday at Herman Park in Houston. Lots of happy passengers.
Whoops, sorry I'm a little late on this one. I lost track of time while building a DIY piggyback mount for my camera to attach to my telescope. But, that's for another forum... In any case, let the voting begin!
Way to go Jerry. Now I want to see you at the throttle of that locomotive soon.:thumbs_up:
