Mine is the white Citroen ZX, parked on the left in this pic...great for running about the little country lanes we have round here... [IMG]

In the states I had a Pontiac Grand-Am rental car, which was pretty cool, and railfanned from (and drove once) a friend's Dodge Ram, which I thought was really cool! (Column shift was a bit of a change to get used to though!!!)

My railfan car of choice is my 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback. I have it equipped with skid plates. The car is all-wheel-drive 5 speed standard stick shift. I can go almost anywhere with it. In the winter it has four snow tires on it and I have driven through 1 foot of unplowed snow without problems. The car can comfortably seat 5 people (or 4 big railfans :D )and have plenty of room for all the camera equipment.

When I was out at Cajon Pass this summer I rented a Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I did not have any problems with that vehicle. I can thank my wife for the upgrade to an SUV from a Ford Taurus. I doubt if that Taurus would have gotten me to the places the Montero did.
