I got a Weller soldering station and a nice size gift certificate to a large unnamed mail order supplier. I got myself four open hoppers for my coal train that is going to be about 29 cars long right now. And growing!

I got this Bachmann S4..... Remind me what's not to like about these, 'cause so far I love everything about it! Slow speed creep and motor control is insane in DCC, it is whisper quiet, the (flush mount) window glass that seems to bother some looks great in-person, the perhaps-a-little-oversized couplers work really well with automatic uncoupling, paint and shell detailing can't get much better, lights are crazy bright....
Yeah.... those B'mann S4 and NW-2 diseasels are really nice... but I'm really impressed with your road-running layout scene too!
