I kinda like it myself. The track plan seems to flow pretty good. The only thing I see that I dont like is those 3 parallel tracks that bumb up against the perpendicular track (top center in the pic)...

Take them HUGH bumpers off the ends...shorten up the track a few inches... and put something like these on the end of the tracks...

I have some spares I could send you if ya need em...(y)

Once you scenic your layout it will all look a lot better...JMO

ya i like those bumpers better too. i was planing on printing some with the ender 3. i don't really like those kato bumpers , BUT i do like there lighted bumpers a lot. the let me know when that part of the track has power. i made some other bumpers thats better than the kato ones. but the ones you suggest i love better. i just need to make time to make them. Thank you for the gesture. ever sense i built that part of the layout ive never really liked it. it used to be 3 loops continuous running. but i had to tear that down for the window man to have access . Thank You

I'm not sure what you want to change and why. Are the sidings inside the loop too short? That's easy to fix. Don't like how it'll look when you're done? Not sure how to help without knowing where you were going with it. Do you not like how the approach tracks work? Too hard to switch?

hi acptulsa . im not sure. i kinda want to just take that area apart and start over with something. the way i have all the tracks coming in makes it very hard to change that loop. the original plan was that area to be a staging yard of some sort but i want a continuous loop to have a loco running all the time pulling 20 cars or so. this pic was the way it was before i had to tear it all down.. i had to make the area by the window a foot wide so this track plan was not going to work. that plan i really liked a lot , but like i said i had to narrow the area by the window . the whole shabang was three loops continuous running. that is not possible any more. i dunno maybe mtntrainman is right . maybe after i get more scenery done and shorten a few tracks (witch gave me an idea about a road there )it would come together .

Well, if by "staging yard" you mean you want a triple loop so you can park two trains and run one, you can have it. But yeah, with the narrow approach, the tracks to feed them would wipe out all those industries under the window. The usual way to deal with that is to crowd in the industries inside the loop.

i didnt have a pic of the original plan. it was four or five tracks used for storing cars. that pic was after i scrapped the first one. i had 6 trains running at a time on those three loops and in the yard working ect. i quess i just miss my three loops and cant seem to get used to this area.. ill look around at others plans maybe something will catch my eye that i can work with in that area. it might just make me mad enough to scrap the whole thing and start over again. this is like the 4th or 5th time. maybe time to just leave it alone for a while and quit thinking about it.

Nah. Run trains on it and see if it works for you.

My dad always used to say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it." You have to run it to know if it's broke or not.

Ok...i worked on your track plan....but for whatever reason I cant reupload it...hmmmmmmm.

    Let me try and explain:

Take that dbl crossover out on the right side. Where you removed the track at the top on the second track...put in a right hand turnout from the first track to that second track. At the bottom...just before the industries down there...put in a left hand turnout back to the first track.

This will give you a short spur for passing OR a short spur to service those 2 industry tracks at the bottom right.

You can always put the dbl crossover on those 2 longer tracks at the top.

    Hope that made sense...

thats exactly what i was thinking of doing except that double cross over. maybe that way i would be happier with thats side.
im thinking that i might use some flex track for that inside run around as i have some of that left over from long time ago. (wish i would have kept those turn outs too ) Thank You
