So I ran across a guy on the Digitrax Group selling a UT6D, and I jumped on it. Now I have a new throttle.

Okay, it's not a N Scale purchase, BUT, I will be moving into a new home (rental) FINALLY! this coming weekend. I'll have an entire room just for a layout! It won't be anything huge, just around the walls (both bedrooms are roughly 10'x15'). I am so stoked!

    Tractor and Lowboy pair.

Two brand new U25B motors. Hopefully this should fix both of them, and no noise or very minimum?

Kinda good and kinda bad for 2 different orders that came in today. One was two used weathered Intermountain cars that are going to get the graffiti treatment. All good there. Then this rapido FP9A in CP script. First and only for me of a loco in this livery. Finish and detail is superb. Thing is I ordered DCC/Sound and when I get this on the tracks for a test run it just buzzes with all lamps lit. Look at the box and they sent me a DC/Silent so that dulled some of the shine for the day. They've already got the right one on the way so no hassles there with getting it replaced. I don't think anyone will have to die or go to the hospital over this snafu so just have to wait a few more days to get one I can run on my track.

Got a couple of items in the mail today. The building kit will be needed by the crews at the division point on the layout.

Hmm... They look identical to the Kato motors.

My order from All Electronics arrived today with items destined to live in darkness under the layout. Putting first things first, I want to get everything involved with electrical supply neatly in place before moving forward with things atop the layout. Admittedly, I rather enjoy wiring.

So, do you ever build a layout just to wire it? Or see a layout and say; "Gee, I'd like to re-wire that..."?

Finally back home after four weeks on the road. Found this treasure at a sewing shop in Ithaca, NY. Vintage sewing machine oiler. I have been looking for something to oil a couple of tough to reach spots on the lathe. Plus it just looks really cool!

Have one a well. Nice throttle! Still trying to find out if mine is a Duplex throttle.
And will I have to get a UR93, in order to use wireless?

    Not exactly a purchase:

Was asked today, at dialysis, if I wanted these:

Scissors used to remove 1 stitch in left arm today. Tweezers never used. So I said I'd take them!
Perfect for modeling. Scissors should be ideal for cutting out small decals! Don't know what they
do with stuff like this, when do with it. Can boil/ultra sonic clean them, if I absolutely have to!
Wonder if I can gain access to another set, when I have my arm worked on again, come December.

The scissor I got long ago have a flat spot on one jaw to slide under the bandage. I got them at the ER. The definitely needed cleaning.

My dad who was a physician used to give me all kinds of surgical tools that were on their way to getting binned. When he passed I was given his old briefcase full of hemostats and other surgical/doctor implements most of which have a second life on my workbench. Still haven't figured a modeling use for the speculum or the stethoscope that was in with the tools though:D

Yeah, the small medical tools are now cheaper to buy new than clean, sterilize and reuse.

I got scissors and tweezers along with 6 stitches after I sliced into the back of my hand with a utility knife. They offered them to me, said I had paid for them, and they were going into the medical waste otherwise. I was very lucky, with no internal damage at all (except my pride), just the skin cut clean through for about 2".
