Hit jackpot today, at Rocky Mountain Train show.
Was able to take a donation of Rio Grande Green Light newspapers!! Dating to 1958. Earliest is Jan, 1947. As well as several Rio Grande Employee Timetables. All I purchased, was a 2023 DRGW calendar and lunch!! Too bad lunch cost me almost $22.

Saturday visited the local club's semi-annual open house. Their company store always has some great deals but this time I really scored. Found a brand new Noch Gras Master in the bottom of a box with no price on it. I asked one guy running the store and he asked another guy and I almost fell over when they agreed on 5 bucks! Also picked up a few more things but I am selective. I put back 2 or 3 MT cars after checking my collection on the N Scale database with my phone and finding out I already had them.

I ordered 16 Adafruit "DRV8871 DC Motor Driver Breakout Boards" for driving the built-in solenoids in my Unitrack switches. That's actually a few more than I need now, but figured I'd grab them now.

I also ordered Phoenix Contact 1725672 four position, right angle, 0.1" pitch screw terminal blocks to replace the supplied 4-pin terminal strips for their control/pwr inputs. Their motor driver outputs (that will drive the Unitrack switch solenoids) are already screw terminal blocks. The supplied pin terminal strips would be good for a pluggable breadboard, but not what I want for the layout.

I ordered all that from Mouser Electronics, and it should arrive tomorrow.

I will control these motor driver boards (and thus their attached switches) using RR-Cirkits TowerLCC modules (up to 8 motor driver boards/Unitrack switches per module).

I'm still deciding whether to go with their LCC starter kit (USB/LCC gateway, P/S and LCC bus terminators) or go 'whole hog' on a TCS CS-105 command station, with built-in LCC bus interface.

I still need to source a couple of 12 VDC wall warts to power the motor drivers. I don't want to run more than one Tower LCC module's associated motor driver boards (max 8) from one wall wart, to avoid any possibility of stray ground currents on the LCC bus.

Despite the HO labeling on the packaging I can testify this is N scale. Beautiful Artitec crane with unbelievable detail.

Also realize that Dodge is the most dangerous vehicle on the road??
On the front, it says Dodge, on the side, it says Ram!!

I'll stick to my Hybrid Maverick thanks!!
Only have to fill up maybe every OTHER month!
Could use to find a few smaller delivery trucks myself.
IF I ever get a layout built! Have 3 in various points of construction, but no buildings/vehicles/people.

Yeah, rebuilt to run First On Race Day!

Hey they're all good, but we still keep our favorites and prejudices anyway. My BIL knows way more about cars and trucks than I do, likes Chevy's! But over 21 years and almost 200K miles on my 2002 F250 crew cab 7.3L turbodiesel have been great for me. Sure, she's showing some wear, and a scratch here and there, but we've been through a lot together, and she's always brought me home at the end of the day.

And it's got a 6.75' "bed that never has to be made!"
