I'm going to build an N scale wood strip stockyard, and I hope to mount it on a sheet of styrene. What's a good glue for joining wood to styrene.

In all my many years of being a model railroader, I can't think of one instance where I wanted to do that. Go figure...

EDIT: I'd prefer not to use super glue. Because it usually sets so fast, I don't have time to make minor adjustments.

I'd try white glue first. Works nicely with wood, and I have used it successfully with styrene. Easy clean-up, and doesn't set fast, like the cyano-acrylic adhesives do. Good luck, and do post pics here when you are finished.

I would use canopy glue or matt medium.

I like an adhesive called E6000. It's clear, takes a little time to set up but not too much, and sticks to anything that I have used it on. I use it to mount N scale figures and details, it has a bit of give too so if something gets bumped it will be less likely to get broken.

I glue styrene to wood all the time. I use DAP Rapid Fuse. It is my go-to glue for almost everything. The most versatile glue in the arsenal. Doesn't do "everything". It is awesome stuff. It is super glue I guess, but takes about 20 to 30 seconds to set. Has the consistency of a heavy gel super glue and even instantly reacts positively to super glue accelerator. For styrene/wood, once it is set it is like white on rice. "aint" going anywhere. Love the stuff.

You might want to give latex bathtub caulk a look too.
