:tb-smile:I'm thinking it transports convicts to death row. Actually I'm more worried about what the tank on the right is for! Sorry. Jim CCRR
With that color scheme, I suspect it's not regular freight equipment. Either something for the business train, or MOW equipment (remember the test car made from an old SD?).
The "tank on the right" is a coil car which carries coils of rolled steel. Each coil is covered by an individual half-round cover, which gives the car a look of a low tank. The covers are quickly removable by a light-weight crane.
The vents in the upper walls may indicate that whatever it's carrrying needs to be protected from heat....?
What is that square left of the door? It almost looks like a filter. Either that, or a gigantic tack board.
It's Jacob Cromwell's custom box used in his Butcher Bandit episodes, see Clive Cussler's "The Chase."
Air repeater car? Looks like one. Espee had air repeater cars. I haven't heard of such a car on today's trains, though.
