Tim, maybe you should start production of your grain elevators. Now that we have hoppes to service it, it should sell like hot cakes.
More Happy Birthday Photos to show. I found an acrylic paint by Testors that comes close to matching the Pink Balloon. The decals have been printed and applied to the GP35. Happy Birthday in the 8 balloon colors on both sides, front and back. Looks good. All I need to do is hook up airbrush again and clear coat everything to include containers and my 6 Ottawa's. Here is the Happy Birthday Photos and the C44 with it's first coat. Caboose C44 Enjoy. When the shipment of 3 remaining Happy Birthday Boxcars get here, I have to re-paint 2 of them to match the green and dark blue balloons and then the Happy Birthday Train will be complete! Tim
Hi, Here is more pics of this weekend's work Started on a tank car and a water carrier It is a brass turned mounted on the laser cut wood flat car. Here is the house that Rob is talking about, I got a chance to take pictures and movies of it last night This house is one of Robs design that he built and we got talking and decided how will it be to automate the garage with cars moving and also adding head lights and brake lights to the car etc.. etc. Got till we could move the garage door and cars and stopped at that. The details of this house is very good observe even key hole pattern in the doors. I need to add garage details like ladder etc, Rob's got that covered too, I just need to put it in. Added some fluorescent lighting and incandescent too You can check out the movies of the operating cars and garage door, and detailed pictures at my website www.kimsartshop.com I also posted a small movie of the animated golf carts. This is just the prototype, eventually this is going to be the putting range. I was at Robs place this weekend and picked up a lot of parts and kits and one of the things he gave me to try on my laser is something called paper wood. The paper wood cuts real sharp in my laser cutter and is better to scale in some of the areas. Here is a comparison Since I cannot post more than 8 pic per post I’ll have to put it in my next post Kim [ February 13, 2006, 04:35 PM: Message edited by: kimvellore ]
Jürg, I am switching between things. I need to get many couplers and trucks to add to each on the ones I am building. The caboose is nearly complete. I need to add many more details. Usually the pictures are one version behind since when I build I find some flaws or add details and that version is not yet built. Kim
Jürg, The motorcycle in your picture is not getting off my mind. Can you please post some real close up picture of it. Is it resin or metal. I want to try to build one of those. Thanks Kim
Kim, That is truly amazing work! Is the movement of the golf carts done with magnets? I didn't see any holes on the track where anything was attached to the carts. -Phil
Thanks Phil. Yes I used Magnets. It took a lot of playing with to put them in so it turns when you want it to and not move in a jerky motion. Kim
My workbench some time ago. PS: The doors and windows are from a trial i did with lasercutting plastic sheets. And I rely liked this work bench. From a visit me and a fellow z-scaler did to the owner off AZL (Mr.Hans) here in Norway. Here we are in the process off changing a defected undercarriage off an E8 B-unit.
Amazing... You guys are incredible!!! Kim, I love what you are working. The moving golf carts blew me away! Keep up the great work! Rob
on my workbench? A LOT!!!! bu if you look closer, you will see the suitecase starting to take shape...: my camera ligtning broke today.... and i touched it my poor hand...
Go on Henrik! The suitecase project looks very good. Kim, your moving carts are incredible! Regards Jürg
Kim, my camera is not very good but I made some pictures. On my Album the pictures are bigger. The Bikes are 10mm long and 6mm high. It's etched brass not resin. Regards Jürg
Torsja, I always like your close-up pictures especially the old wooden Buildings and the well proportioned szenary. Your visit by Hans Riddervold shows some high Dollar Items on the Table! Regards Jürg
Just finished my latest project. Came home yesterday to find the last of three 40' Happy Birthday boxcars in the mail. 2 of them needed a change of color. I just airbrushed the yellow boxcar green and the Lt blue boxcar a Dk blue. The caboose and the GP35 were airbrushed last weekend. Here is a photo of all the cars in a row. I'll post individual photos in a later post. What do ya' think? Who needs Happy Birthday Decals for their GP35? Hobo Tim
Nice work, Tim... Could pass for a Skittles commercial... When will the cake come out of the oven? Adam
