    Very enjoyable thread!
I've seen pics of an ex Santa Fe SD26 with just a sprayed blue line along the sides through the Santa Fe name, and S T for Springfield Terminal sprayed on the cab. Hoping to be wealthy enough one day to model a replica - if I ever see the pics again.

The lettering pealed off leaving the primer red showing through.

Looks like "roll-over" damage repairs to me.

[IMG]This ex-CN GP40 is i service on the Georgia-Florida RR, and I shot this sorry-looking creature at the main yard down in Albany, GA last weekend. It's flanked by two fellow Canadian refugees, but they're in better paint.......:D

HATX GP40-2 500, an ex-Guilford/Springfield Terminal/PanAm Railways/whatever they're calling themselves this year diesel with its Boston & Maine ancestry bleeding thru the shabby gray.

Side view of this diesel. Note how it's trying to hide its shame. What did Timothy Mellon have these engines painted in, watercolors? Did Earl Schieb do his $49.95 special on this engine (you older heads know who I'm talking about)?

AAnother pic of the 2610 in service on the DGNO. Notice the crudely-painted face on the nose. As much as I hate "tagging", this is actually an improvement.

Talk about stealth units- I can't even make out the lessor's initials below the road number! It IS nice, though, to see an SD40 in service. CSX is NOT shy about running SD40-2s or SD40s in road service, as I've seen on several freights thru Cordele.

Looks like a GCFX unit and yes, CSX runs what seems like nothing but SD40s around here.

Whaddaya know, it DOES run. All the pics I have of this old girl, it was sitting dead in Lebanon. Best get all the pics you can- according to the PNWR group at Yahoo, the next time the wheels need work, it's done.

Kiamichi Railroad GP40-2W 9661, still in badly faded-out CN colors, Hugo, OK, July 14. To its left is a GP40 from the Missouri & North Arkansas, while to its right is an Indiani & Ohio GP40. Kiamichi is a property of Rail America, so the usual hodgepodge of diesels can be seen, including Kiamichi's own burgundy & white power.
